Recently, a delegation from the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Center in Moscow, Russia visited the Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center(GICEC) and signed a memorandum of cooperation with GICEC, presenting a special commemorative gift in advance for the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia.

Aleksey Shabrov, CEO of the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Center, highly appreciated the hardware facilities, the operation and management level of the venue, the ground bearing capacity, the pillarless structure and the load-bearing weight of GICEC. Through the holding of China-Russia international exhibitions and other exhibition projects, he hoped that Russia's local exhibition resources could be settled down in Tanzhou in the future so that the two countries can enhance friendly cooperation, broaden their international perspectives and further promote interconnection.

He Jiandong, Chairman of GICEC, said that GICEC has always adhered to the road of international development, and strived to implement the strategy of “going out and bringing in” and practiced “the Belt and Road Initiatives”. Since its establishment, GICEC has hosted more than 60 exhibitions at home and abroad, providing an excellent platform for international exchanges and cooperation. He expressed his expectations for the exhibition plan proposed by Aleksey Shabrov and was very pleased to promote such cooperation with long-term development and strong vitality.
During the subsequent business talks, the two sides discussed several potential projects that could be jointly implemented between 2019 and 2020, and signed a memorandum of cooperation to reach a comprehensive partnership to promote closer ties between the two countries.
