The 4th AEME Expo will open in Foshan on Dec.17

　　The Fourth International Fair for Investment and Trade of Advanced Equipment Manufacturing in West Bank of the Pearl River (hereinafter referred as AEME Expo) will be held at Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center from Dec. 17 to 19, which covers a total exhibition area of about 30,000 square meters. Eight cities of the west bank of the Pearl River will join hands to promote the latest achievements of advanced equipment manufacturing industry. The press conference about this expo was held yesterday (Nov. 1).

　　Sponsored by Foshan Municipal government and Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province, the AEME Expo this year was co-held by Zhuhai, Shaoguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Yangjiang, Zhaoqing and Yunfu. There will be exhibition and trades, project signing, investment promotion, industry forums, etc. The expo is divided into three exhibition halls and several sub-exhibition areas according to cities. It also plans to invite more than 2,000 domestic and foreign guests to the expo.

　　Compared with last year, the expo this year makes improvement in terms of internationalization. There will be more than 100 international famous enterprises and businessmen of advanced equipment manufacturing industry. Besides, the AEME expo will also invite leading domestic and foreign entrepreneurs of equipment manufacturing industry, economists and technical experts to hold two high-end industrial forums, which will analyze the development trend of advanced equipment manufacturing industry home and abroad.

　　In addition, the expo will show achievements in nine fields such as machine tools manufacturing industry, robot, new energy vehicle, high-end ocean engineering and offshore wind power equipment, general aviation, satellite application and so on, which are key development field in Advanced Equipment Manufacturing Industry Belt in West Bank of the Pearl River Focus Action Plan (2018-2020).

　　As a leading city in the advanced equipment manufacturing industry belt in west bank of the Pearl River, Foshan’s equipment manufacturing has taken up the first pillar industry for a long time. Last year, Foshan’s equipment manufacturing industry achieved 165. 45 billion yuan of above-scale industrial added value with a year-on-year growth of 13.5%, taking up 52.9% of the total amount of 8 cities in west bank of the Pearl River.

　　From January to September this year, the equipment manufacturing industry of Foshan achieved 97.62 billion yuan of industrial added value with a year-on-year growth of 7.4%, which was 1% higher than the increasing speed of the city’s industrial added value (6.4%); machine tools manufacturing industry achieved 23.91 billion yuan of added value with a year-on-year growth of 8.4%.
