Foshan is advancing the construction of Guang-fo Cooperation Experimental Zone

　　On April 11, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Foshan Municipal Committee Ou Bangmin led the team to Guangzhou Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau. Ou Bangmin, together with the responsible persons of the Bureau organized a docking meeting on the planning work of the Guang-fo Cooperation Experimental Zone, and carried out a discussion on issues of the planning work of Guang-fo Cooperation Experimental Zone, Guang-fo crossover cooperation project, coordination and promotion of key provincial projects and etc. The two sides agreed that the experimental zone is of great significance to the construction of Guang-fo pole development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, and it conforms to the two places’ development needs. The next step is to strengthen coordination and cooperation, and to speed up the progress of the project.

　　The outline of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Development Plan proposes that we should give full play to the leading role of Hong Kong-Shenzhen, Guangzhou-Foshan, Macao-Zhuhai and deepen the cooperation between Hong Kong and Shenzhen, Macao and Zhuhai, so as to speed up the construction of Guangfo City and enhance its overall strength and global influence, leading Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area to participate in international cooperation in depth.

　　Standing at the new starting point, Guangfo City is moving forward to deep integration. Previously, Guangzhou and Foshan signed the Framework Agreement on Deepening Strategic Cooperation between Guangzhou and Foshan, and proposed to build Guang-fo Cooperation Experimental Zone at the area between Guangzhou South Railway Station and Foshan, which will be a demonstration zone for the all-round upgrading of Guang-fo City.

　　On March 29, Foshan held a promotion meeting of Sanlong Bay High-end Innovation Cluster Area. It introduced in all directions the construction ideas and arrangements of the major platforms that Foshan is currently building, as well as Foshan’s plan to jointly build Guang-fo Cooperation Experimental Zone with Guangzhou.

　　The meeting has conducted full negotiation on the joint planning and preparation of Guang-fo Cooperation Experimental Zone, Guang-fo Crossover Cooperation Project and transportation projects related to the experimental zone. In the next stage, the two parties will set up organizational structure, clarify the project leader of the two places, set up daily work mechanism and accelerate the project process.
