Guangfo City and Foshan Robot Valley were written into the Government Work Report of Guangdong Province

　　On January 28th, the Second Session of the 13th Guangdong Provincial People’s Congress was held at Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center.

　　In particular, the promotion of constructing Guangfo City and Foshan Robot Valley were clearly included in the Government Work Report of Guangdong Province. Foshan work has been attached great importance and given strong support by the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and Guangdong Provincial Government.

　　Work hand in hand to do well on the construction of Guangfo City

　　This year, Guangfo City has entered its eleventh development year. It has been written into the Government Work Report of Guangdong Province and will be promoted in the work deployment of the core area of the Pearl River Delta Area, which is of great significance for Guangfo City to build a core area in the Pearl River Delta Area.

　　Since the construction of Guangfo City, there are frequent cooperation and exchange between the two cities. At the end of 2018, the two cities signed an agreement on deepening the strategic cooperation framework between Guangzhou and Foshan.

　　In accordance with the agreement, it is important for Guangfo City to seize the great opportunity of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and earnestly implement the national plan for regional coordination and provincial plan for the “One core, One belt, One region” coordination development, and promoting all-round joint city.

　　At the Seventh Plenary Session of the 12th CPC Foshan Municipal Committee held recently, Foshan stressed once again that it is necessary to do a good job in Guangfo City construction when making plans for the work of the new year.

　　Next, Guangfo City will jointly plan and build a large-scale urban complex at the border area of Guangzhou South Railway Station and Sanshan, creating a landmark project in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

　　Foshan Robot Valley to promote the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry

　　Robot is an important symbol to measure the level of modern technology and high-end manufacturing, and it is also a strategic field to preempt the development opportunity of intelligent society. In recent years, Foshan strives to speed up the construction of a global-oriented manufacturing innovation center.

　　The robot industry is of great meaning in moving Foshan from "manufacturing" to "intelligent manufacturing". For the development of robot industry, Foshan provides a policy package, and projects such as “robot valley” have made substantial progress.

　　Last year, Foshan issued the Support Program to Promote Robot Application and Industrial Development (2018-2020), set up special support funds, accelerated the development of cultivating robot industry, and encouraged robots to be widely used, promoting Foshan to build a global-oriented manufacturing innovation center.

　　And the "Robot Valley" located in Shunde, Foshan, the core land of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, takes up an area of about 10 square kilometers and it plans to introduce 10000 top robot experts and researchers from the world to build a world-class robot research and development base and a highland of robot all-industry chain.

　　Based on the industrial foundation and advantages, increasing the construction of major projects such as "Robot Valley" and strengthening industrial cooperation will promote the development of strategic emerging industries, speeding up the construction of a modern industrial system with international competitiveness.
