On April 2, the Work Deployment and Promotion Conference of Foshan Implementing the "1+1+9" strategy of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Government was held. At the meeting, 55 key projects of 10 categories were announced for the implementation of the "1+1+9" strategy from 2019 to 2020, and specific planning arrangements were made for the implementation of the projects.

Focus on important fields and drive high-quality development of Foshan
Among 55 key projects, there are key work promoted by Foshan municipal party committee and Foshan government for a long time, and also “combined packages” elaborately planned according to new circumstances and new tasks.
This time, the pilot project of comprehensive reform of transformation and upgrading of national manufacturing industry and the promotion of supply-side structural reform have also been included in 55 key projects. Participation in the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is also an important aspect of Foshan's reform to achieve breakthroughs. Among the 55 key projects, three key projects are planned, including the full implementation of the "Hong Kong + Foshan" cooperation mechanism, the establishment and improvement of the "Macao + Foshan" cooperation mechanism, the acceleration of cooperation between Guangzhou and Foshan, and the acceleration of the construction of the Pearl River Delta Hub (Guangzhou New) Airport.
In addition to Greater Bay Area, Foshan, a city based on manufacturing industry, has also made the development of real economy and high-quality development of manufacturing industry an important focus of reform and development. Foshan has deployed four projects in the development of real economy and manufacturing industry cluster. It plans to cultivate two over one trillion industrial clusters of equipment manufacturing and pan-house, as well as two over 500 billion industrial clusters of automobile and new energy, civil-military integration and electronic information. At the same time, Foshan will accelerate to make further breakthroughs by promoting innovation-driven development carriers and platforms such as Sanlong Bay High-end Innovation Cluster and Jihua Laboratory.

55 key projects in these 10 categories are clearly led by 17 municipal leaders. Among them, the Secretary of the CPC Foshan Municipal Party Committee and the mayor led 34 key projects. Each key project has refined the responsibility unit and completion time limit so as to ensure that phased results can be completed or achieved by the end of 2020.

He stressed that all districts should take the initiative to participate in the "game" of the whole city, integrate the poles of Guangzhou and Foshan, integrate the construction of Greater Bay Area, jump out of the conservative rules, consciously integrate the work arrangements of the municipal committee into the key work of the region, and effectively and orderly promote the implementation of key projects.
