Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster: the major innovation platform of Foshan

 

　　On June 5, the management committee of Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster in Foshan (hereinafter referred to as “Sanlongwan”) was officially listed, marking a new journey for the construction of Sanlongwan. Lu Yi, Secretary of the CPC Foshan Municipal Committee, congratulated the establishment of Sanlongwan and expressed his hope. The Deputy Secretary of the CPC Foshan Municipal Committee and Mayor of Foshan Zhu Wei attended the listing ceremony.  

　　With the approval of CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, the Sino-German Industrial Services Zone Management Committee hung up the brand of Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster management committee to promote the work as a whole. At present, the Sanlongwan Management Committee and the three districts including Chancheng, Nanhai and Shunde have sorted out a total of 98 key projects, with a total investment of 351.6 billion yuan.

　　As the major innovation platform of Foshan, Sanlongwan is an important strategic node of Foshan based on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and it is also a platform to absorb innovative resources. Zhu Wei, Mayor of Foshan expressed, with the comprehensive promotion of the strategy of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, it is necessary for Foshan to cherish the development opportunities of Sanlongwan and enhance the sense of mission and responsibility.

　　Zhu Wei stressed that 2019 would be the beginning of Sanlongwan. We should take the trend and work hard, and strive to occupy a place in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area by winning several hard wars. We should grasp two time nodes and prepare overall development plan of Sanlongwan and the overall plan of Guangfo High-quality Development Integration Pilot Area.

　　Zhu Wei demanded that Foshan should adhere to the Sanlongwan construction system of "planned in city level, constructed by five districts and shared by all" and give full support to the high-quality development of Sanlongwan. The three districts including Chancheng, Nanhai and Shunde should carry out the main responsibility of territorial construction and development, and consciously tilt to Sanlongwan in terms of examination and approval management authority, funds, talents, policies and so on. The relevant departments directly under the municipal government should strengthen coordination and cooperation to create favorable conditions for Sanlongwan. Sanlongwan Management Committee should adhere to planning guidance and the blueprint, strengthen project support, speed up the construction of Sanlongwan, and make positive contributions for Foshan to become a leader in high-quality development among prefecture-level cities throughout the province.
