Sanlongwan is entering the 5G era

　　July 9th has witnessed the opening ceremony of 5G networks construction of Sanlongwan and the Nanhai area planning press conference in the Nanhai area. At the meeting, Naihai area made the first move to issue the 5G construction strategy. It’s predicted that until the end of June next year 5G networks will cover an area including Wenhanhu Park, Jihua Laboratory, the east extension line of Kuiqi Road and Gangkou Road, making it the first area in Foshan to build 5G base stations.

　　The Nanhai area is planning to invest a total 530 million RMB to promote the construction of 5G networks so that citizens in designated area can enjoy the fastness and superb services provided by 5G networks. Meanwhile, Nanhai government will pull all the stops to advance integration of 5G layout and real economy, stepping up efforts for developing high-tech and fast-growing enterprises that enjoy new technologies, new industries and new forms of business.

　　“Nanhai Area Construction Bureau will integrate city management resources in an all-around way and work with the Nanhai area of Sanlongwan, making the area a new model of 5G networks construction and application in Foshan.” Said chief executive of the Nanhai district government Gu Yaohui. In the near future, the government will work with many major telecom carriers to promote deep integration of 5G technology and real economy and attract related projects, talents and capital to Nanhai by harnessing 5G networks layout and industry.

　　With the 5G networks, Nanhai can be transformed from a major manufacturer into a technology and innovation base of Guangdong-Hongkong-Macao Greater Bay Area in the way of connecting innovative resources from Hongkong, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, actively promoting technological and innovative projects with Jihua Laboratory leading the way. Besides, greater investment to laboratory, schools and institutions, talents should not be overlooked. Nanhai district government needs to encourage enterprises to practice capacity for independent innovation and develop core technology.

　　Before the launch of 5G networks construction, Nanhai district government had done some preparatory work. In July, the government has officially kicked off the implementation of Tengyun Project within which industrial Internet is the most important part. In the project, the government is planning to encourage enterprises to register in the cloud platform while actively harnessing numerous high-end cloud platforms and industrial Internets such as Ali Cloud, Jing Dong Cloud. In addition, setting up industrial Internet application standard can contribute to the development of enterprises of that kind. The government will also encourage enterprises to make their own independent innovative technology the technology standard of industrial Internet.

　　In terms of 5G scenarios application, Nanhai government puts forward that priority of fully 5G signal coverage will be given to government institutions, medical care institutions, schools, key industrial parks and high-end technological research platforms in the Nanhai area of Sanlongwan. 5G networks will also be used to facilitate government services. Furthermore, the exemplary effect of excellent enterprises can be leveraged to encourage more enterprises to take part in innovative application of 5G networks and applying 5G networks technology in more situations of some key display fields such as VR HD video, intelligent surveillance, industrial Internet and medical care.
