The 4th AEME successfully concluded in Foshan

　　Dec. 19, the 4th Exposition for Investment and Trade of Advanced Equipment Manufacturing in West Bank of the Pearl River (the 4th AEME Expo) was successfully concluded in Shunde, Foshan. The AEME Expo this year organized 245 projects with a total planned investment of 242.83 billion yuan. Among them, projects organized by Foshan have a planned investment of 62.39 billion yuan, including two projects of more than 10 billion yuan.

　　The expo has integrated investment and contract signing, trading and promotion, investment and financing, and talent exchange. In three days, 220 enterprises from Foshan, Zhuhai, Shaoguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Yangjiang, Zhaoqing and Yunfu participated in the exhibition, attracting more than 40,000 well-known experts in advanced equipment manufacturing industry, businessmen and audience home and abroad. Meantime, there were also the 2018 Investment and Promotion Conference and Development Summit Forum of Advanced Equipment Manufacturing in West Bank of the Pearl River, Investment and Financing Docking Exchange of Equipment Manufacturing Industry, High-value Patent Development and Protection Seminar of Advanced Equipment Manufacturing Industry, and other supporting activities, which attracted all participation of municipal governments, enterprises and industry representatives in the Pearl River Delta and the west bank of the Pearl River.

　　Joint development in building equipment manufacturing industry chain

　　“The AEME Expo shows the industry upgrading of equipment manufacturing in west bank of the Pearl River in recent years, and it also becomes an important exhibition and exchange platform of the equipment manufacturing in west bank of the Pearl River.” Wen Hui, CEO assistant of Gree Electric Appliances said.

　　Liu Ciying, consultant of Guangdong Machinery Industry Association thought that in order to build equipment manufacturing industry chain in west bank of the Pearl River, governments should accomplish top-level design on the basis of respecting market discipline and form a win-win development consensus.

　　Equipment manufacturing industry raises a “tornado” in intelligent manufacturing

　　Many enterprises have shifted from equipment manufacturers to intelligent solution providers. For example, Golive Machinery has shifted from a glass processing equipment manufacturer to providing intelligent glass processing solutions. Foshan Zhende Machinery has changed from focusing on the business of injection moulding machines to providing customers with automated production lines.

　　At the exhibition site, we can also see needle-threading robots, amphibious aircraft, fully automated AI production line system, new energy vehicles carrying intelligent systems, etc. 804 exhibits from 220 enterprises in eight cities have set off a whirlwind of intelligent manufacturing, which has become a vivid portrayal of the vigorous development of equipment manufacturing industry in west bank of the Pearl River. According to statistics, from 2015 to 2017, the west bank of the Pearl River has attracted more than 716 projects of over 100 million yuan, many of which are high-end frontier projects of intelligent manufacturing.

　　Equipment manufacturing enterprises seize high point of patent standards

　　At this expo, more and more enterprises have new technology patents. Patent technology has become a competitive tool for enterprises to compete in the market. At the seminar on the development and protection of high-value patents of advanced equipment manufacturing industry, Wang Ping, examiner of Guangdong Center for National Patent Examination and Cooperation, advised to enterprises, "we should find out the technical bottlenecks in the industry, research and develop them, and look for new market demand points or carry out market forecasting to advance the layout."
