Foshan Park adds green to decorate Sanlongwan

Recently, walking in Foshan Park, people will be surprised to see that the ground of the boulevard has been paved with stone bricks, both sides of the road were planted with trees and kapok, and the renovation area was fully covered with greenness. After reconstruction, the place used for rail construction in Foshan Park has changed into a new look, adding a touch of "dark green" to Sanlongwan Science and Technology City.

The reconstruction part starts from Huakang Road, and ends at Lingnan Avenue. The total length is about 550 meters, and the reconstructed area is about 64,000 square meters, including afforestation, garden facilities, landscape, electricity, drainage, bridge lifting and other projects.

Foshan Park to be upgraded as ‘Talent Park’

"The theme of reconstruction is 'New Forest City with Connectivity'. By connecting the cultural corridor and CBD business district, it will guide citizens and tourists to play in Foshan Park so as to further activate the area along and around it." The relevant person in charge of the project construction introduced that Foshan Park takes the CBD green space as the material carrier to create the unique "forest" CBD landscape with green axis and public open space in Foshan New City.

It is worth mentioning that Foshan Park is planning to be upgraded as ‘Talent Park’, which will be built into a space for talents exchanges, sports and leisure activities, and create a modern urban central park with complete functions and beautiful landscapes to serve high-level talents better.

Shunde Area of Sanlongwan adds ‘dark green’

In recent years, to improve the quality of city and optimize urban living space, Shunde Area of the Sanlongwan has focused on promoting the construction of Sanlongwan Greenway Project and Dongping River Water Axis (Shunde Section) Project to build an ecological city suitable for living, working and traveling.

Among them, the 65 km-long Sanlongwan Greenway is one of the pilot projects of Guangdong Greenway Construction. The Shunde section takes Dongping Waterway and Tanzhou Waterway as key points by making green landscape and waterfront platforms to improve urban ecological space and provide a leisure space to citizens.

At the same time, Shunde Area of Sanlongwan also actively build night tour landscape supporting projects in Foshan New City, including Century Lotus Sports Center, Fang Tower, Riverside Park, Xinbao Square sound system, Huayang Bridge, Hengli Wharf and other lighting projects, which were all completed in July this year and have been widely recognized by the public.

In addition, it built a riverside landscape belt on a shallow beach along the Dongping River, which provides a suitable habitat for birds, creating a harmonious green home for human and animals.

It is reported that the current greening rate of Foshan New City is as high as 43%. Tens of thousands of garden plants surround the whole city, creating a suitable and diverse living environment for people to take a walk, birds to forage and perch.
