Foshan to hold China Tennis Tour in November

The upgrade and renovation of Foshan Century Lotus Tennis Center is about to complete to welcome China Tennis Tour. This is the first time for Foshan to host a large-scale domestic tennis tournament, which will be held from November 19th to 21st.

The China Tennis Tour is a state-level brand event with own intellectual property rights. Foshan Municipal Government invested 10 million yuan to upgrade the tennis court of Foshan Century Lotus Sports Center. It is reported that the upgraded tennis court covers an area of about 15,000 square meters, including a central tennis court, a central side court, a seating capacity of 800 people, 4 outdoor tennis courts, 2 indoor tennis courts and gyms, conference rooms and other functional rooms.

In recent years, Foshan has accumulated a wealth of experience and constructed a number of high-quality stadiums through holding a series of international competition. With the emergence of the tennis stars in Foshan like Ma Yexin and Sun Yi, and the boost of “Tennis into the Campus”, tennis culture is integrated into Foshan’s urban texture.

Ma Yexin, the run-up of 2020 China Tennis Tour (Guangzhou Huangpu Station) Women's Singles, served as the ambassador for Foshan Station.

Sun Yi, the 2020 doubles champion of the Guangdong Youth Tennis Championships, served as the ambassador for Foshan event.
