On October 24, the 2021 China-Europe Culture Week was wrapped up with 2021 Urban Folk Ballad Contest Finals (Sanlongwan Music Festival) along the picturesque Dongping Waterway.

Against the backdrop of the landmark "Fang Tower", young talented singers/songwriters shared the stage with established folk artists.

Artists and bands from all parts of China highlighted the night by delivering amazing performances. Robot Pirate, a band from Guangzhou, warmed up the crowd with the upbeat song "Kids from Other Households" (《别人的孩子》).

Tang Xiaoxianer (糖小鲜儿), a singer from Inner Mongolia sang out the sound of nature with the track "Island" (《岛》). Some of the musical masters in China, including Lu Zhongqiang, Wan Xiaoli, and Zhang Gazuo, were blown away by these performances.

This May, sponsored by Foshan Media Group and Foshan Radio, "City Music Plaza" Campaign was launched and had received over a hundred original songs to promote the image of Foshan.

In the end, the theme song "A Song for You" (《给你的歌谣》) was aired on the spot. Composed by Lu Zhongqiang, the founder of the Chinese record label "Folk Ballad on the Road" (“民谣在路上”), the song uses a basic tone of acoustic guitars, with extra layers from Lingnan traditional instruments of Gaohu and Erhu. It well captures the life of young people in Foshan - inclusive, modern and dedicated to tradition.
