On September 27th, Foshan Sino-German Industrial Services Zone City Brand Promotion was held in Shanghai, with the theme of “Discover GBA - Another Go for German & European SME”. This was the first time for Foshan Sino-German Industrial Services Zone in the GBA to join hands with Shanghai in the Yangtze River Delta.
Under the guidance of Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province and Foshan Municipal Government, the promotion event was strongly supported by the German Chamber of Commerce in China. Nearly 200 guests attended the event, including the chief representative of German Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, representatives of world-renowned German enterprises, Foshan entrepreneur delegation and representatives of Chinese and foreign (German and European) enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta.
At the promotion meeting, Foshan Sino-German Industrial Services Zone officially released the first "Accompanying Project for German SMEs in South China". It is a special incentive package for German and European enterprises to settle in Foshan and expand the market. In addition to providing settlement rewards, rental and purchase subsidies, it also offers all-round and one-stop services involving services in business, personnel and living. The package includes marketing services such as e-commerce and customers communication, and German enterprises are encouraged to co-build Sino-German Public Service Platform for cooperation and communication. Foshan will encourage local enterprises in purchasing products and services from German-invested enterprises, and support German enterprises to participate in exhibitions and explore domestic market. Meanwhile, Foshan Sino-German Industrial Services Zone also encourages private capital to build an incubator for Sino-German SMEs, which will be invested and operated by Haichuang Han's German SME Incubator, and provide customized software and hardware for the development of German enterprises in the GBA.
A panel discussion themed on Doing Business in GBA - Why and How was also held to share experience of German companies settling in Foshan. The panel discussion was chaired by Dr. Sigrid Winkler, Executive Chamber Manager at German Chamber of Commerce in China – Shanghai. Thomas Schmitz, President of Andritz (China) Ltd., Eric Zeng, DGM of Rail Infrastructure, Siemens Mobility China, Jochen Zhu-Schleiss, General Manager of Stiegelmeyer (China) Ltd., Ludger Tillmann, CEO of LUQOM Asia Ltd., and Dr. Crystal Hu, Vice President of Pan Long Cheng Science Park (Foshan), as representatives joined the discussion.
