Not long ago, the first phase of Foshan New Town Night View Lighting Project was awarded the Alighting Award, known as the Oscar Award in the lighting industry. Another good news came on September 6 that the lighting for night cruise in Tanzhou Waterway, Foshan Sanlongwan (Foshan New Town section) won the 2020 Landscape Lighting Award awarded by China Association of Lighting Industry.

The award aims to encourage the development of lighting industry and achieve the goal of carbon neutrality. The project ranges from riverside landscape, buildings in Dragon Boat Square and structure nearby, Sino-European Center, Huayang Bridge to other spots.

The 386-meter Huayang Bridge is highlighted by lighting with local characteristics, like Cantonese Opera, martial art, lion dance, flowers and Lingnan architectures, while the structural beauty of the bridge itself is preserved. The gorgeous visual art livens the city.

So far, the first and second phase of Night View Lighting Project in Sanlongwan (Shunde area) have been wrapped up, which means that nearly 10-kilometer-long night viewing corridor and night economic belt featured by water, green and lighting have taken shape. Through night cruise and night view lighting, visitors have the access to learn about the culture and vitality of Foshan.
