The Cultural Trip for Youths from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao is deemed as a significant exchange among these three areas. The cultural trip of 2021 was themed on Lingnan culture and Foshan Kungfu.

More than 70 college students from Greater Bay Area (GBA) were given an exciting opportunity to take a cultural trip to Macao and Foshan from July 26 to 31. They explored these two cities from various aspects, including fashion, food, innovation, patriotism, heritage and culture. After learning about the history of Communist Party of China (CPC), the intangible cultural heritages, Lingnan culture and landscape, they got a clearer picture of GBA, and most importantly, further establish their cultural identity and ties of kinship.

Notably, they had an impressive trip in Foshan: watching the cooking process of Cantonese cuisines; making handworks approved as intangible cultural heritages such as paper-cutting, colored lantern and Foshan ceramics; taking a walk in Qinghui Garden and Zumiao Museum to admire the ancient architectures unique in Lingnan area; learning some moves of Southern martial art; knowing about the industrial growth of Foshan in Guangdong Industry Design City.

All these activities serve as an open window for youngsters from GBA to understand that Foshan is a blend of modernity and tradition.
