Heyue Road (Huizhan Section) open to traffic

On June 24th, the long-awaited Heyue Road (Huizhan Section), located in Foshan Sanlongwan High-end Innovation Cluster (hereinafter referred to as "Sanlongwan"), was finally opened to traffic. As expected, the road will largely improve traffic efficiency for vehicles from east to west in the proximity of Tanzhou Convention and Exhibition Center. The opening of Heyue Road also represents one step forwards into building a powerful traffic network in the South Section of Tanzhou Convention and Exhibition Center.

Heyue Road (Huizhan Section) functions as a main passage that links together Foshan New Town and Beijiao Town horizontally and also a key arterial road that ties Tanzhou Convention and Exhibition Center to surrounding road networks including Foshan First Ring Road. In 2018, the road temporarily diverted to facilitate the construction of Foshan Metro Line 3 and the underpass tunnel of Laoxin Road. Due to that, traffic efficiency has been greatly affected and more pressures put on surrounding road network.

The voice from citizens was heard by the authority. In order to "return the road back to the people", the construction team has delivered what's in their best capacity. First, they made sure the structure of Metro Line 3 and Laoxin Road tunnel was basically completed. Then, in the face of numerous challenges coming their way such as limited space for construction, tight schedule, heavy workload, heavy interlace operation, and rainy and flood seasons, the team made timely and necessary adjustments to their construction plan by increasing labor force, materials, equipment and conducting intensive operation. It only took them about 2 months to finish up the road to a point where it has the conditions to be opened in traffic.

As the east-to-west traffic artery of Tanzhou Convention and Exhibition Area in Sanlongwan, Heyue Road (Huizhan Section) allows citizens to commute back and forth from Foshan New Town to Beijiao Town and Foshan First Road, saving the detours before.

Sanlongwan Area and Surrounding Roads

Apart from Heyue Road (Huizhan Section), construction of two roads is being wrapped up - the road connecting Yuhe Road and the planned Beijiao Huanzhen North Road in Foshan. Once finished, the road will largely cut down on the journey from Tanzhou Convention and Exhibition Center to Foshan New Town.
