oshan's GDP ranked 3rd in GD for the first quarter of 2021

　　Right before the month of May approached, Guangdong Province, China's top economic powerhouse, released its economic data for the first quarter of 2021.

　　Overall, during the first quarter this year, all areas in Guangdong has made continued progress in COVID-19 prevention and control and economic and social development. Economically, Guangdong has kicked off 2021 with positive performances, as production scale and market demand expanded, people's livelihood was secured, and consumption market enjoyed a bright prospect. Thus, Guangdong has seen speedy economic recovery, strong growth momentum and more quality and efficiency in its economic growth.

　　Great news also came from Foshan. Among the 21 cities in Guangdong this quarter, Foshan ranking 3rd with a registered GDP of 255.195 billion yuan - 19.391 billion yuan higher than Dongguan, which ranked 4th on the list, and 151.702 billion yuan higher than Huizhou that follows.

　　Statistically, apart from Shenzhen and Guangzhou, Foshan still takes a leading role as one of the "top 3" cities in Guangdong Province that no others rival. Up next, Foshan will step up its game to achieve sustained and quality economic growth.

　　On April 20th, on a special session held by Foshan Municipal CPC Party Committee, based on a trillion-yuan economy, Foshan was hoped to achieve a GDP of 1.5 trillion yuan by the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and reach 2 trillion yuan by the end of the "15th Five-Year Plan", which means building a "brand-new" Foshan featured by high-quality growth.
