700 million yuan invested for Sanlongwan School

　　Sanlongwan sees educational upgrading with a new school that ushers in many ways. On March 30th, Sanlongwan hosted the groundbreaking ceremony for Sanlongwan School (tentative name), a nine-year-system school that introduces management model from famous schools in Guangzhou. The project represents the very first cooperation in high-quality educational project between the two cities, since the release of “Overall Plan for the Development of Foshan Sanlongwan High-end Innovation Cluster (2020-2035)”.

　　As planned, the school stands close to the “Heart of Foshan” and neighbors "four rails and nine stations". The school is stated-owned but will be privately run. Positioned to be an innovative school featuring high starting points, great ambition and premium facilities, Sanlongwan School is expected to become a flagship in local education.

Groundbreaking Ceremony

　　A total investment of 700 million yuan

　　Projected for use in September 2022

　　Located in Tancun Village, Chencun Town, Shunde Area of Sanlongwan, Sanlongwan School (tentative name) covers 61,666 square meters and a floor area of over 130,000 square meters. Providing full boarding for elementary and junior high, the government has invested 700 million yuan in its construction and planned 84 classes for 3,900 students. As projected, the school will be put into use in September 2022.

　　Built with a combination of Lingnan gardens and modern architecture, the overall layout of the school is exquisite, classy and visually pleasing, with a rich portfolio of teaching buildings, gardens, a funfair, and ecological garden. Every corner of the campus looks modern and fresh, and an open, active and inclusive campus atmosphere can be created as well. The school consists of three main areas – sports, teaching and dorms, built with an indoor constant-temperature swimming pool, an indoor gymnasium, a standardized playground, football fields, dormitory buildings, teaching buildings, a library, etc.

　　As an attempt to build an “intelligent campus”, technologies, innovations, big data, and artificial intelligence will be leveraged to create a "futuristic school" that updated facilities, beautiful landscape, and optimized space.

　　Up next, Sanlongwan School will stick to its “first-class in four aspects” development goal - first-class educational concepts, first-class faculties, first-class facilities, and first-class educational quality in a way that fosters a strong brand for education of Chencun, Shunde, and the GBA as a whole.

　　Support from famous Guangzhou schools

　　Positioned as a“flagship”in Sanlongwan education

　　According to "Overall Plan for the Development of Foshan Sanlongwan High-end Innovation Cluster (2020-2035)" issued in February, it is recommended that high-quality resources such as pre-school education and compulsory education in the two cities should be distributed to the bordering areas, and cross-regional cooperation between school should be conducted.

　　According to Huang Zhijie, Secretary of the CPC Party Committee of Chencun Town, with a high starting point, high construction standards, and high-quality facilities, Chencun will be running schools together with Guangzhou famous school, in the means of introducing advanced educational concepts, resource sharing and complementarity. Sanlongwan School, as we hope, will be top of the top that serves the neighboring Guangzhou-Foshan area so that better sharing education resources can be allowed to promote regional integrated development in education.

　　Apart from Sanlongwan School, Longwan Experimental School in Nanhai District is now under construction after a groundbreaking ceremony was held on March 27th. Located on the south side of Linyue Avenue, Guicheng Street, the school also follows a nine-year system with 60 classes planned to enroll 2,820 students, joining hands with Sanlongwan School to take Sanlongwan’s education to the next level.

　　At present, Sanlongwan is home to a wide array of quality education - Tanzhouwan Kindergarten, Wenhan Primary School, Beijiao Affiliated School to South China Normal University, Qicha Huanhu Primary School (East Campus), Foshan Hollis School for Children of Foreign Personnel, Chenmei International Art Education (College), Foshan Graduate School of China Northeast University and so on. It now has a complete educational chain from kindergarten to primary and secondary schools to universities,and caters the need for foreigners in Foshan who have kids.
