Shunde Area of Sanlongwan aims to develop a high-quality waterfront

　　Recently, according to Sanlongwan Bureau of Construction for Shunde Area, 26 out of 30 greenway projects were under planning. The area plans to put intensive efforts to build a high-quality waterfront in areas like Dongping Watery and Tanzhou Waterway. At the same time, a project to speed up the building of Dongping River water axis (Shunde section) and improve the landscape surrounding Tanzhou Convention and Exhibition Center was also outlined to create an aesthetic appeal to the general public and build an eco-friendly city with a large greenery coverage.

　　Tons of greenway projects expected to wrap up this year

　　This March, the Riverside Wetland Park, covered in full blossoms, looks gorgeous more than ever. Citizens are hanging out with friends and families; photographers are standing in lines to capture scenes with flashing cameras.

　　As one of the pilot spots for “Thousand-miles Greenway in Guangdong Province” projects, the Sanlongwan Greenway is planned as 65-kilometer long. The Shunde section will focus on Dongping Waterway and Tanzhou Waterway, mainly by creating landscape nodes and waterfront platforms, so as to provide a multifunctional space for recreation, leisure and eco-sharing.

　　Among them, Tanzhou Waterway is a key area that combines Lingnan water culture and an energetic waterfront. Designed with a waterfront traffic corridor and an ecological riverbank, local residents will be surrounded by bustles and hustles along the waterway in the day while seeing a prosperous night economy on both sides.

　　It is worth mentioning that the project planning focuses on creating the "Eight Scenic Spots of Tanzhou", and constructing the "Shangliao Ancient Road", "Science and Technology Tanzhou", "Splendid Waterfront", "Junlan Lexiang", and "Shallow Water Flower" through art such as flower gardening and sculpture architecture. The eight major landscape nodes, “shore, vigorous, vigorous,” “jade belt fragrant,” and “painting boat awning”, integrate science and technology with nature, culture and ecology, and add icing on the cake for the high-quality improvement of riverside waterways.

　　According to reports, the Shunde section of Sanlong Bay Greenway has a total of 30 sub-projects, 26 of which have been planned in the early stage. The landscape reconstruction project on the south bank of the Dongping River Dike and along the route, the expansion project of Sangui's new electric drainage station in Beijiao Town, Shilongwei, and the first phase of the landscape improvement project on Baichen Road have been in progress and are expected to be completed this year.

　　Locations nearby Tanzhou renovated to provide a better environment for conventions and exhibitions

　　As one of the important platforms that promotes industrial integration, business and commerce, integrated development of Foshan's trade fairs and advantageous industries, Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center attracts many enterprises from all over China to discuss the opportunities and challenges for their industries.

　　At present, supporting projects such as the greenery improvement on the east of DJI, the renovation on the south side of the exhibition, the renovation of the green node on Yuhe Road and Huayang Road, and the renovation of the node on the first-ring exit turn right at Heyue Road have been completed, and a number of projects are being stepped up.

　　Modelled after “night economy”, Dongping Night Cruise depends on the water axis to boost the commercial development of coastal areas. To do that, the water axis of the Dongping River was first designed as a “coastal landscape belt”, followed by the design of lighting and greenery.

　　In addition to offering a leisure and greenery space for citizens, Dongping Night Cruise also focus on tourism, publicity, and attracting young late.

　　Shunde District is mainly responsible for two waterfront landscape belts – the cultural promotion belt on the east bank and the belt of leisure on the south bank – covering four themes "Yuluzhouwei", "Cuiman Long Causeway", "Heart of Foshan" and "Qicchawan Bank" (“鱼鹭洲尾”“翠蔓长堤”“佛山之心”“奇槎湾畔”).

　　Reportedly, the overall construction plan includes 40 in Shunde, and 7 belong to Sanlongwan Bureau of Construction for Shunde Area, with a planned investment of 387 million yuan. Until now, 17 construction projects have been kicked off and 13 was done or came into service before the 2021 Chinese New Year.
