Foshan UAV light show aired on CCTV

　　On the evening of December 31, 2020, the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) light show filmed at the Century Lotus Sports Center in Foshan was broadcast in the year-end special program "the Recovery of Sports" on the CCTV 5 Sports Channel.

　　Based on the light scenery of the surrounding areas of Foshan New City, 1,000 UAV with digital lighting systems constantly changed various shapes and matrixes in the night sky. The show presented the core elements of news in the form of UAV light show, which has displayed the top ten foreign and domestic sports news in 2020 to review unforgettable sports memories.

　　As the group of UAV continuously changed their formation, about 40 vivid images and creative animations were sketched out successively, including the Olympic logo, basketball superstar Kobe Bryant, legendary Argentinian football player Diego Maradona and Lang Ping, the coach of Chinese women's volleyball team.

　　Kang Zhehao, head of the UAV show team, revealed that behind the UAV light show, high-precision positioning technology and efficient automated formation system played an important role. "Each performing UAV was equipped with a digital lighting system and intelligent lighting customization, which can present more than 60,000 colors, as well as effects of gradients and breathing lights," Kang said.
