On November 24, Bai Hande (Hendrik Barkeling), the new Director of the General Economic Office of the German Embassy in China, Wei Mingrui (Christopher Weigand), the Economic Counsellor of the German Embassy in China, and Feng Mading (Martin Fleischer), Consul General of Germany in Guangzhou, visited Foshan Sino-German Industrial Services Zone with their colleagues. Zhu Xixiong, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Foshan Sino-German Industrial Services Zone, met with Bai Hande and his colleagues.
Zhu Xixiong welcomed Bai Hande and his colleagues and introduced the general situation of Foshan, the development and construction of Foshan Sino-German Industrial Services Zone, and the achievements of the cooperation with Germany. He said that in recent years, the exchanges and cooperation between Foshan and Germany have become increasingly closer, and the Management Committee has been committed to helping enterprises go global and attract foreign investment. He excepted to take Director Bai Hande's visit as an opportunity to further strengthen the bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy and trade, intelligent manufacturing, and industrial services in the post-pandemic period, so as to achieve mutual benefits.
Bai Hande, who visited Foshan for the first time, has highly appreciated Foshan's efforts of building a bilateral platform for Sino-German industrial services, and operating the Sino-German Industrial City Alliance. Full of confidence in Foshan’s development prospects and potentials, he expected that the two parties could get rid of the pandemic impact as soon as possible, and further strengthen cooperation and exchanges in various fields.
