On November 19, the press conference of 2020 China (Foshan) International Intelligent Robot Expo (IIRE), 2020 Global Intelligent Robot Industry Summit and 2020 World Robot Contest was held in Foshan. From December 3 to 6, domestic and foreign leading robot manufacturing enterprises will gather at Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center to comprehensively display cutting-edge products, core technologies and the latest application solutions in various fields of robots.

The 2020 World Robot Contest Finals, which will be held in Foshan at that time as well, will focus more on the exchange of sophisticated technology, the application of industrial technology, and the influence of market scale. Four major competitions: the Integration Robot Challenge Competition, the BCI Brain-controlled Robot Competition, the Robot Application Competition, and the Youth Robot Design Competition will be held based on three major competition directions of scientific research category, skill category and science popularization category.

Based on the solid foundation of the development of Foshan robot industry, high-quality business environment and modern industrial exhibition halls, CIE decided to establish the long-term settlement of IIRE in Foshan, which has created a layout of two grand domestic robot exhibitions, “Beijing Yizhuang in the North, Foshan Tanzhou in the South”.

Qiao Yu, Deputy Mayor of Foshan, said that the strategic emerging industries represented by robot industry in Foshan are gradually developing through key projects and the settlement of high-end scientific research institutions. The CPC Foshan Municipal Committee and Foshan Government have attached great importance to the Expo and expected to hold a high-standard, high-level and high-efficiency event for the robot industry, create an international exchange platform for advanced equipment manufacturing and intelligent manufacturing, and jointly promote the upgrading and transition from “Made in China” to “Created in China”.
