Kong Haiwen, Secretary of the CPC Leadership Group and Director of the Foshan Development and Reform Bureau, said that the world is undergoing an unprecedented change. While celebrating our achievements, we should also watch out for opportunities and risks, increase support for the real economy, improve and protect people’s livelihood, ensure the completion of the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects by the scheduled time.
Guzao Village, Zhangcha Sub-district, Chancheng District, was listed as a weak and disorganized CPC organization before 2017 and there were serious conflicts among villagers. In the past three years, under the leadership of the new “Two Committees” team, the CPC organization has strengthened its core leadership and addressed issues left over from history, thus increasing the villagers’ satisfaction.
Take advantage of the great blueprint of “the 14th Five-Year Plan” (2021-25) to start a new journey
The Plenary Session is centered on the “14th Five-Year Plan”, putting forward suggestions, drawing up a grand blueprint for the nation’s future, making a good start for the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country.
At present, the Foshan Municipal Education Bureau is sparing no effort in drawing up the “14th Five-Year Plan” for Foshan’s education. Shang Xuebing, Secretary of the CPC Leadership Group and Director of the Foshan Municipal Education Bureau, said that it is necessary to take into consideration both overall planning and people’s demands and appeals, paying heed to the public expectations, the wisdom of the people, the opinions of experts, and grassroot work experience, making our education benefit and satisfy our people.

“As the goals and tasks of the ‘13th Five-Year Plan’ are about to be completed, the victory of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects is in sight, and the ‘Four Comprehensives’ strategy has the latest formulation,” Yang Xupeng, lecturer of the Party Construction, Education and Research Department of the Party School of the CPC Fosan Municipal Committee, commented that the latest formulation of the “Four Comprehensives” reflects that Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era advances with the times.
Yang Xupeng said that the transition from “building a moderately prosperous society in all respects” to “building a modern socialist country in all respects” is the stage from the accumulation of quantitative changes to qualitative changes, demonstrating the original mission of the Communist Party of China to seek happiness for the people and rejuvenation for the nation.
The development results of accelerating the construction of a new development pattern benefits more people
The Plenary Session proposed that during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, economic and social development should “focus on promoting high-quality development, primarily strengthening the supply-side structural reforms, and fundamentally being powered by reformation and innovation to meet the fundamental purpose of people’s growing needs for a better life.”
Following the guideline of promoting high-quality, integrated and coordinated development of culture, broadcasting, tourism and sports,
Foshan Culture, Broadcast, Television, Tourism and Sport Bureau will seize the opportunity of “Dual District Momentum” and “Dual City Linkage” during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, and promote high-quality constructions of the “City of Museum”, “City of Cantonese Gastronomy”, “City of Kung Fu”, and “Southern China Film and Television Center”.
