　　On November 3, the 2020 Foshan Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster (hereinafter referred to as Sanlongwan) Investment Promotion Conference in Guangzhou organized by the Management Committee of Foshan Sino-German Industrial Services Zone (Sanlongwan) was held in Pazhou, Guangzhou, which aimed to explore the in-depth integration and the demonstration area of the co-urbanization of Guangzhou and Foshan, and further promote “Foshan Sanlongwan City Brand” to improve its popularity and reputation.

　　Focus on the new pole core of the integration of Guangzhou and Foshan

　　As the first promotion conference in Guangzhou, the event has attracted more than 130 people, including representatives from domestic leading manufacturing enterprises. At the conference, according to the key words in the theme speech delivered by Liu Yi, Director of the Management Committee of Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster, academic and industrial experts extracted different reasons for strengthening the recommendation of Sanlongwan.

　　According to the General Plan for the Construction of Guangzhou-Foshan High-quality Development Integration Pilot Zone jointly issued by Guangzhou and Foshan, an area of 629 square kilometers with great development potentials will be selected on both sides of the 197-kilometer-long boundary between Guangzhou and Foshan to jointly build the High-quality Development Integration Pilot Zone, including “one pilot zone and four sub-areas”, which will gradually achieve the full co-urbanization of Guangzhou and Foshan.

　　A manufacturing innovation highland with 57 billion yuan investment in 42 projects

　　The efficient and convenient internal and external transportation channels of Sanlongwan have solidified a good foundation for the free flow of talents, capital, information, technology and other elements. Meanwhile, the strong base of surrounding high-tech industry has further accelerated the agglomeration of scientific research and innovation resources in Sanlongwan.

　　Sanlongwan, a strategic key platform vigorously built by Foshan, is a major platform to lead Foshan's in-depth participation in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and a key platform of the pole core of Guangzhou and Foshan.

At present, 42 major projects have settled in Sanlongwan, with an investment of 57 billion yuan.

　　In the future, it is estimated that the framework of Sanlongwan and the construction of the Startup Zone will be basically completed by 20220. By 2025, the innovation agglomeration capacity of Sanlongwan will be significantly enhanced. By 2035, the important development platform for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the innovation pole core on the western bank of the Pearl River will be comprehensively established in Sanlongwan.
