Robot industry of Sanlongwan rises rapidly

　　On October 21, Kuka China launched its 2020 latest products in Foshan Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster (hereinafter referred to as “Sanlongwan”), including a number of robots with independent intellectual property rights. Represented by Kuka China and other enterprises, the robot industry of Sanlongwan is rising rapidly.

　　New opportunities for robot industry under COVID-19 epidemic

　　After two years of market adjustment, the industrial robot industry has ushered in a new market and new development under COVID-19 epidemic. In addition to Kuka China, Qianxi Robotics Group, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Country Garden located in Sanlongwan, has launched the world’s first robotic restaurant complex this year, exploiting a road of intelligent catering industrialization.

　　In addition, five enterprises such as Kuka Robot (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. have settled in the Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing International Cooperation Demonstration Zone. The relevant person in charge of the Sanlongwan Management Committee said that at present, a number of intelligent manufacturing enterprises are having business negotiations, which is expected to further promote the development of the robot industry.

　　Based on the location advantages, strong manufacturing foundation and broad market application prospects of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Sanlongwan has been praised by the robot and intelligent manufacturing industry since the beginning.

　　The data shows that from 2015 to 2019, more than 300 enterprises in Shunde District have completed the intelligent transformation through robot applications, with more than 4,000 robot applications and an average annual growth rate exceeding 10%. In the past three years, enterprises have added an average of more than 1,000 industrial robots each year.

　　Apart from industrial robots, many enterprises also paid attention to service robots. The future interaction between the strong economic strength and huge market consumption potential of Sanlongwan, especially the mature home appliance industry market, with the service robot is of great expectation.

　　The government-enterprise joint cooperation strengthened the industrial chain

　　Sanlongwan will optimize the ecology of the robot industry, enhance the scale of the robot industry, increase the competitive advantages of talents, and support the development of small and medium-sized robotic enterprises in various aspects.

　　In terms of platform carrier, Sanlongwan will give full play to the overlapped advantages of “land space + industrial policy”, and focus on promoting the construction of professional parks such as Shunde Robot Valley and Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing International Cooperation Demonstration Zone, and the development of robotic system integration industry.

　　In terms of technological breakthroughs, Sanlongwan will strengthen the cooperation with well-known universities and scientific research institutes at home and abroad via leading enterprises, focus on promoting the research, development and industrialization of core components, and improve the technical level of core robotic component design and manufacturing.

　　In terms of industrial talents, Sanlongwan will accelerate project construction such as Foshan Graduate School of Northeastern University, explore and implement the talent training mode of “school-enterprise cooperation and work-learning combination” by encouraging major enterprises to establish a joint talent training mechanism with domestic and foreign higher institutions and scientific research institutions.
