About 7 million tourists traveled in Foshan during the Golden Week

　　During the 8-day National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, Foshan has received 6.9427 million tourists. Reunion tours, short trips, and self-driving tours have become new features of this year’s National Day Golden Week tourism. The number of night tourism, rural tourism and rural accommodation has increased significantly compared with previous years, which has become a powerful driving force for the recovery of cultural tourism market.

　　On the National Day, Amap released the 10 most popular tourism cities in China, of which Foshan ranked 10th. Many families chose to travel in Foshan during this long holiday for a reunion tour. 

　　During the holiday, scenic spots such as Xiqiao Mountain and Fengjian Waterside Village have attracted numerous tourists, and the reception of domestic tourists in many scenic spots has recovered by 95.82% compared with the same period last year. 

　　As a popular tourism city, Foshan has convenient transportation and rich tourism resources, along with its profound historical and cultural heritages. On the afternoon of October 4, Chaji Village in Nanhai with a history of more than 600 years attracted a number of foreign families to visit. In the deafening sound of firecrackers and drums, foreign tourists watched the dragon boat race launching ceremony, Foshan Shifan and lion dance, and learned Foshan Shifan and lion dance skills under the guidance of intangible cultural heritage inheritor. 

　　During the National Day holiday, different kinds of “night economy” projects and activities in Foshan were attractive and amazing, such as the opening of night buses, the featured light show of Qiandenghu Lake and the light show of various scenic spots, adding to Foshan’s glamorous night. From October 1 to 4, 210,700 tourists have stayed in Foshan for overnight traveling. 

　　The night view of Sanlongwan was also a night-tourism destination for many citizens and tourists.  Tourists on the Sanlongwan cruise ship passed through the five featured landscapes: Lingnan Spring Scenery, Humanistic Rhythm, Industrial Light, Times Imagination and Livable Foshan, and visitors on the bank jointly appreciated the unique landscape and landmark buildings along the riverbank lit up by bright lights.
