As an important provincial platform to promote the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and construct the regional development pattern of "one core, one belt and one area", Foshan Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster (hereinafter referred to as "Sanlongwan"), established for just over a year, has attracted increasing social attention with stronger influence and attractiveness.
On September 21, Lu Yi, Secretary of the CPC Foshan Municipal Committee, affirmed the new progress in the construction of Sanlongwan at the Sanlongwan Work Promotion Conference, and proposed to seize opportunities, accelerate progress, and place Sanlongwan in the Guangzhou-Foshan Co-urbanization, in the construction of "one core, one belt and one area" and in the construction of the GBA for planning.
High integration of innovation and smart manufacturing
On the one hand, speed up the cooperation with Guangzhou and Shenzhen, establish good relationship with Hong Kong and Macao, and connect innovative resources.
At present, Guangzhou and Foshan are jointly attracting global investment surrounding four trillion-level industrial clusters and the Guangzhou-Foshan Co-urbanization is getting on the right track. Sanlongwan is working with Guangzhou to jointly promote the construction of Guangfohui, and together with Liwan and Panyu to plan the construction of the second starting area to build the south Linyue area and the north Sanshan area into the core of Guangzhou-Foshan Co-urbanization.
On the other hand, Sanlongwan will highlight its features, give full play to its advantages, and strengthen regional value and influence.
To meet the needs of enterprises, Sanlongwan will strengthen investment and planning convergence, provide diversified investment plans, flexibly guide the establishment of corporate headquarters, and optimize the service mechanism, land support, and talent incentive policies to enhance the attractiveness of the headquarters economy.
Create a model of smart city with high quality
Sanlongwan is speeding up the construction of smart transportation projects on Sanlongwan Avenue and Fochen Road. What’s more, Sanlongwan Avenue will be transformed into Foshan's gateway avenue, becoming the first 5G smart avenue with the longest length and most complete functions in China.
In the next stage, Sanlongwan will speed up the improvement of the regional road network system, with six roads including the south extension of Fenjiang Road, Heyue South Road and Huizhan Middle Road to be completed in the second half of the year. In addition, the Sanlongwan Digital City Public Infrastructure Plan has been launched to build a digital city public infrastructure support system according to the international frontier development trend.
Accelerate the gathering of global high-end talents
A few days ago, many citizens were attracted by the news of "Sanlongwan Cruise Project" debut. Soon, citizens can cruise around Dongping Waterway, enjoy the night view of Sanlongwan, and feel the splendor and charm of Foshan at night.
The meeting revealed that the construction of the terminal, the operation of cruise ships, and the lighting of night scenes are stepping up. What’s more, 70% of the overall work of the terminal construction has been completed and will officially open to navigation on October 1.
By optimizing cultural and living spaces suitable for different groups of people, Sanlongwan will be built into a vibrant and creative art and cultural recreation area in the GBA.
