8 high-quality night-time economic agglomeration zones to be built in Foshan

　　In order to activate night-time business and market, free the potential of night-time economic consumption, the 2020 promotion activity of Guangdong night-time economy and summer vacation consumption promotion was launched in Foshan Creative Industry Park on August 6th.

　　Qiao Yu, Foshan’s deputy mayor, said that the development of night-time economy meets the growing needs of people for a better life, which will help to expand domestic demands, prosper the market, create employment, and boost confidence. Starting from the city positioning of a suitable place for living, working, and traveling, Foshan will make great efforts to build high-quality nigh-time economic agglomeration zones integrating Lingnan traditional culture, urban modern life and rich forms of business altogether. By 2021, Foshan will build 8 high-quality nigh-time economic agglomeration zones with 80 nigh-time economic model spots.

　　The 2020 promotion activity of Guangdong night-time economy and summer vacation consumption promotion, lasting for 2 months with the theme of “nigh-time life·wonderful Guangdong”, will build landmark night-time agglomeration zones, innovate nigh-time economic business modes, enrich night-time consumption spots, improve night-time business and consumption environment, and light up the night-time economy map through the joint participation and promotion of 21 cities in Guangdong, industrial commerce associations and key circulation enterprises, which will promote the upsurge of night-time economic consumption in Guangdong.

　　In August and September, various commercial departments in Guangdong will gradually organize and hold various consumption promotion activities with rich contents and forms based on the activity theme. Municipal Bureau of Commerce of Guangzhou and Foshan will jointly hold “August 8 Guangzhou-Foshan Shopping Carnival” to promote cross-city cooperation and joint promotion, and complement each other for consumption and promoting an upsurge together.

　　Different industrial commerce associations will carry out night-time economic “ten-hundred-thousand” activities, organize key enterprises in automobile, catering, e-commerce and other industries to extend night-time business hours, and hold activities such as “car night market”, “night-time gourmet food festival”, cultivating a sales promotion atmosphere of “development of ten scenes, participation of a hundred business circles, linkage of a thousand leading enterprises” in Guangdong.
