On the morning of July 8th, the 14th South China Stainless Steel · Metal Material Exhibition lasting for 3 days kicked off in Shunde Chencun Flower World Exhibition Center, mainly exhibiting stainless steel pipe fittings, plate materials, customization and supporting equipment basically covering industrial stainless steel supply chain.
It is reported that this was the first professional exhibition of China’s stainless steel industry and one of the few production area exhibition focusing on stainless steel supply chain. Nearly 100 exhibitors attended the exhibition this year, including enterprises in Guangdong, Sichuan, Fujian and other provinces.
Lin Zeyu, executive president of Guangdong Stainless Steel Materials and Products Association and president of Metal Building Materials Application Branch of China Construction Material Market Association said that the competition in stainless steel market intensified due to the COVID-19 epidemic. Many enterprises keep exploring, trying to adopt new technology on the basis of original technology and standing out in the market by promoting customization services at the meantime.
The COVID-19 epidemic has brought varying degrees of impacts on various industries, including stainless steel industry. According to Lin Zeyu, the epidemic has accelerated changes in the industrial structure of stainless steel enterprises. “In the past, the phenomenon of product homogenization is quite severe. Therefore, in order to solve this problem, stainless steel enterprises took the initiative to adjust according to customers’ needs of fashionable colorful pipes and other new products for the expectation of a better life.”, he said.
Foshan is one of the most developed stainless steel industry areas and the most active markets in China. The South China Stainless Steel Exhibition has been held for 13 consecutive years, attracting a large number of buyers and peer enterprises to visit, study, discuss and do business every year.
