Foshan major platforms gather new impetus for high-quality development

Over the past year, Foshan has strengthened its overall planning and made great efforts to speed up the construction of two major innovative platforms including Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster and Foshan National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone.

Reform of institutional mechanisms releases new vitality

Located at the junction of Chancheng, Nanhai and Shunde, Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster is the core of the “First Ring" innovation circle, and it is also the key platform for Foshan to seize the development opportunity in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.              

"In 2019, Foshan National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone released innovative vitality through institutional reform." During the 18th China Economic Forum, Pan Dongsheng, deputy secretary of the CPC Working Committee and director of the Administrative Committee of Foshan National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone highlighted the experience of Foshan National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone attracting all kinds of innovative resources through institutional mechanism optimization reform and policy system improvement, which had aroused extensive attention from all sectors of society.           

As institutional mechanisms continue to be optimized, the blueprint for building major innovative platforms is gradually turning into a reality map.                           

Accelerating High-quality development   

Logistics robot, exterior wall painting robot, interior panel installation robot, tile laying robot...In the near future, these diverse construction robots will move from Shunde Robotics Valley to major construction sites, opening an important page of innovation in the construction industry.

With a total investment of 80 billion yuan, taking robot and intelligent manufacturing industry as the leading sections......The Shunde Robotics Valley, invested by the Country Garden Group, is the representative of the major projects in the first half of 2019 in Foshan, and it is also one of the key projects in Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster.

Providing intellectual support for transformation and upgrading            

In the introduction and construction of major scientific research platforms, Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster has gathered a number of key scientific and technological R&D platforms, including Shunde Robotics Valley in the field of intelligent manufacturing, South China Robotics Innovation Research Institute, Robotation Foshan Academy , etc. 

At present, Foshan is accelerating industrial transformation and upgrading, striving to become the high-quality development leader among the province's prefecture-level cities. As major innovation platforms created by Foshan, the attraction of Sanlongwan and Foshan Hi-tech Zone to innovation elements determines Foshan’s advantages and dominance in science and technology innovation in the future.
