Foshan is to hold 2020 FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament

　　2020 FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament will be held from February 6 to 9. As the only division in China, Foshan will receive four competing teams from China, South Korea, England and Spain. Yao Ming, President of the China Basketball Association (CBA), came to the press conference in Foshan yesterday (Jan. 9) afternoon to introduce the preparations for the great event.

　　The event will be held at Foshan International Sports and Cultural Center. At present, the preparations for the event have entered the final stage with venue facilities, competition organization, logistics reception, traffic support, security measures, medical aid, event publicity, voluntary services and other works in ordered progress.

　　Yao said that the Chinese women's basketball team will arrive in Foshan during the Spring Festival. He hopes that the team can achieve good results, and is confident in Foshan hosting the event.

　　The draw result shows that Chinese women's basketball team will be in the same group with Spain, England and South Korea. According to the qualifying rules, three teams from this group will qualify for the Olympics.
