Guangzhou and Foshan to explore a sample of cross-regional collaborative development

　　December 5 marks the half-year establishment of Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster Management Committee, and on the same day, Guangzhou has passed the <Deepening of regulatory detailed planning of Guangzhou South Railway Station>; A month ago, Guangzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission issued the <Guangzhou South Railway Station Regional Industrial Development Plan (2019-2025)>. After Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area clearly puts forward the concept of "Guangzhou-Foshan pole core ", the two places will work together to build a high-quality development integration pilot area, and build the Greater Bay Area science and innovation highland.

　　Gathering innovative resources to boost the transformation of manufacturing

　　"The most important feature of Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster is its “root in manufacturing”. It bases on the Sino-German Industrial Services Zone that develops for years and introduces innovative resources to serve manufacturing transformation.” Liu Yi, deputy secretary of the CPC Working Committee of Sino-German Industrial Services Zone (Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster) and director of the management committee, interprets the "root" of Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster.                                    

　　Today's Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster Shunde Section is a high-end intelligent manufacturing and innovation gathering area. The data shows that up to now, Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster is negotiating 30 industrial projects and 13 science and technology platform projects are under construction, including graduate schools and innovative research institutions in well-known universities at home and abroad.

　　The principle axis of science and innovation connects Nanhai and Shunde 

　　Five major technology platforms will be constructed                  

　　During the signing activity of construction ceremony of Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster Nanhai Section, Nanhai officially released the layout of "one axis and one belt" industrial map. And from the east to west of Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster Avenue, a total of 400 hectares of village-level industrial park will be built into high-end manufacturing, intelligent manufacturing, non-standard customization and other productive industrial agglomeration belts.  

　　In the Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster Shunde Section, the first phase of intelligent manufacturing industrial base co-invested by Midea Group and KUKA is in trial production. 1.05 million square meters of Foshan Shunde Robot Valley comes into full construction, which has gathered nearly 2,500 domestic and foreign outstanding R & D talents.                                                                       

　　Deepening cooperation between Guangzhou and Foshan

　　Creating cross-regional collaborative development samples

　　In February this year, <the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area> was issued, which gave Guangzhou and Foshan a new strategic mission and opened the "honeymoon" for the two places to carry out close cooperation this year.

　　In May this year, the governments of Guangzhou and Foshan signed the <Memorandum of Building a Pilot Area for Guangzhou-Foshan High-quality Development> and put forward to build the Pilot Area of Guangzhou-Foshan High-quality Development.

　　Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster and Guangzhou South Railway Station is the “bridge” to boost the development the Greater Bay Area. Sanlongwan Innovation Cluster is close to Guangzhou South Railway Station, so we should make full use of international transportation hub to realize the deep docking with Guangzhou. This is the strategic requirement to implement the construction of "Guangzhou-Foshan pole core" in Greater Bay Area, and it will also be a concrete practice for Guangzhou and Foshan to explore a sample of cross-regional collaborative development.
