On October 15th, Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing Cooperation Seminar (Foshan) was held in Shunde. In terms of the development trend, key technologies and practical achievements of the Sino-German intelligent manufacturing industry, the guests present discussed new ideas and new paths to accelerate the promotion of intelligent manufacturing.
Deepen cooperation with Germany and promote high-quality development of industry
At the Seminar, representatives of German companies in the field of intelligent manufacturing such as Dr. Oliver Blank, Head of European Affairs, German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (ZVEI), gave keynote speeches.
Dr. Oliver Blank said that the cooperation between China and Germany in the electrical and electronic industry has become closer in recent years. With the continuous development of the digital age, specialists from various industries in the world are required to seek global solutions to 5G and AI technologies, and to promote the in-depth development of intelligent manufacturing through more exchanges and deepen Sino-German cooperation.
Christian Grüterich, General Manager of the German Chamber of Commerce in Guangzhou Office, shared the development prospects of the intelligent industry in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). In his view, GBA has developed rapidly. From the perspective of Sino-German cooperation, there will be many key projects in Germany to promote in the GBA. In the future, the German Chamber of Commerce will also strengthen cooperation with Foshan.
In recent years, Foshan enterprises have advanced the cooperation with Germany, and many outstanding cases have emerged. Zhu Xixiong, deputy director of Management Committee of Sino-German Industrial Services Zone and deputy secretary-general of the Sino-German Industrial City Alliance, hoped that Foshan enterprises would further deepen their cooperation with Germany in various social undertakings, including education, medical care and sports.
Improve intelligent manufacturing from digital technology
Alain Dedieu, head of Schneider Electric's social innovation investment partner strategy and industrial automation business, believed that if Foshan enterprises want to achieve intelligent manufacturing, they not only need to interconnect different kinds of equipment, but also require manufacturers to conduct automated production based on the flexibility and individual needs of consumers. In the field of digital manufacturing, there is huge room for future cooperation between Foshan and European companies.
Weidmüller used to specialize in adapting pieces for the textile industry in the traditional industry in Germany, but now it has become a modern enterprise that provides automation solutions for the world with a history of 150 years. J?rg Scheer, head of the Equipment and Connection Department at Weidmüller, was very optimistic about the prospects for cooperation between China and Europe in the field of intelligent equipment. He hoped that his company can reach in-depth cooperation with Foshan enterprises.
Chen Hongbo, Deputy General Manager, Guangdong Jaten Robot & Automation Co., Ltd., said that artificial intelligence has a very bright future. In the future, enterprises will apply AI technology to make robots more efficient and intelligent.
