Symposium for AI among PRC, Japan and Korea lands in Foshan

　　On September 24th, the 2019 Symposium for AI among the people’s Republic of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea was held in Foshan with leaders and experts from governments, enterprises and technology and research institution centering on the cooperation and communication in AI.

　　Zhu Xiumei, deputy director of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) said that MIIT has made several major explorations on building AI industrial ecology, deep integration of AI and real economy, and innovation in policy, institution and management. Situated in the east of Asia, China, Japan and Korea all play an important role in the development of new technology and industry. Zhu hoped that participants can carry out practical cooperation in policy making, standard legislation, technology development and business connection through communication. It’s believed that deepened cooperation can further fuel the development of our industry.

　　Zhang Bing, vice secretary general of Foshan Municipal Government said that Foshan AI industry and the upgraded traditional industries will make headway under the leadership of MIIT and support of the society.

　　Later experts from three countries delivered keynote speeches on the innovative development of AI. Wang Xiaoning, GM of CCID AI industry research center said that China has entered the AI “golden window period”. It’s believed that more local policy will be published to create an atmosphere that all the places are pushing for greater AI development. As the only comprehensive reform pilot city in manufacturing transformation and upgrading, Foshan takes the lead in AI ecological situation application. Wang suggested that China should make good use of this advantage and carry out more cooperation with international leading AI companies in the field of intelligent manufacturing.

　　After the opening ceremony, representatives held closed-door symposium. One day before the symposium opening ceremony, research team composed of experts from three countries visited Bozhilin Robotation Co. Ltd., and Guangdong Jateng Robot & Automation Co., Ltd.
