On September 24, the 19th National Cinema Film Promotion Conference in Autumn (hereinafter referred to as the promotion conference) was held in Foshan. For four days in a row, the conference promoted films coming in the National Day and New Year holidays.
The promotion conference is known as "the wind indicator of China's film market". This year, with a theme of “Great China, Gathering Films, Exquisite Art, Keen Ambition”, 49 national cinema chains, nearly 100 film management companies, film distribution corporations, and many professionals in the film industry gathered to discuss and promote the development of China's film industry in the future.
Southern (Guangdong) Film and Television Center showed strength
"Filming, come to Foshan!” On the spot of the promotion conference, Southern (Guangdong) Film and Television Center showed its strong advantages to national film and television professionals. Since the establishment of the center, Foshan film and television industry has developed rapidly. By June 2019, there were 1,241 film and television related enterprises in Foshan, of which there were 613 film and television production enterprises. It added 548 companies compared with the 65 companies before the Southern (Guangdong) Film and Television Center was founded, which realized an increase of 843.07% .
Chinese movies lighted up the conference
The “big show” of the promotion conference is over one hundred Chinese films recommended at the scene, including My People, My Country, The Climbers, Chinese Pilot, Changing China, etc.
Director Zhang Yibai took the lead with the film "My People, My Country", which was produced by three generations of Chinese filmmakers. It tells seven unforgettable stories of Chinese people.
As one of the presents for National Day, "Chinese Pilot" also appeared in the promotion conference. It is adapted based on the true situation that flight 3U8633 of Sichuan Airlines encountered at the height of 10,000 meters on May 14, 2018, putting the breathtaking moments on the screen.
Jason Wu, Zhang Yi, and Dylan came on behalf of "The Climbers" crew. Jason Wu said passionately, "In fact, each of our actors is also a climber. They are climbing the peak of the movies in their minds."
In addition, the documentary "Changing China" produced by Foshan Cultural Development Investment Management Co., Ltd. and the film "Ip Man 4" related to Foshan martial art were also introduced on that day.
