The Fifth AEME Expo will be unveiled in Foshan on September 20

　　The Fifth Exposition For Investment and Trade of Advanced Equipment Manufacturing in West Bank of The Pearl River (hereinafter referred to as AEME Expo) will be held in Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center from September 20 to 22. At the press conference on August 13, Zhao Hai, Deputy Mayor of Foshan City introduced the highlights of this expo.

　　The AEME Expo is hosted by the Foshan Municipal People’s Government and Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province. It is co-sponsored by Zhuhai, Shaoguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Yangjiang, Zhaoqing and Yunfu government, and supported by the Department of Commerce and Foreign Affairs Office, People’s Government of Guangdong Province. There will be three pavilions, each covering an area of about 10,000 square meters. The expo contains four main parts, exhibition trading, project signing, investment promotion and industry forum.

　　The expo will also hold cooperation and exchange activities of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to promote regional cooperation and further enhance the overall competitiveness of the industrial belt, aiming to build the advanced equipment manufacturing industrial belt on the west bank of the Pearl River into a modern industrial base with global influence. At present, the preparatory work for the expo is under smooth progress, and the work of attracting business, inviting businessmen and planning thematic activities are being vigorously promoted.

　　Compared with the previous expos, the exhibits this time will make new breakthroughs in intellectualization, greenization and service. Many of the exhibits are the first set in China, and some of them break the monopoly of foreign enterprises, which realizes the localization of high-end equipment. Exhibits will be displayed in a brand-new image, using multiple scenarios such as professional forums and experiential exhibitions. They will comprehensively present new technologies, new formats and new modes of the leading industries including robots, intelligent manufacturing, new-energy vehicles, etc., so as to attract the attention of domestic and foreign businessmen in a more high-end, professional and open manner.

　　Zhao Hai said at the press conference that Foshan and the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province would coordinate the eight cities on the west bank of the Pearl River to create a high-level professional exhibition with great influence in Guangdong Province and certain influence at home and abroad.

　　The construction of the advanced equipment manufacturing industry belt on the west bank of the Pearl River has been incorporated into the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the "1+1+9" Work Plan of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, which is an important support for promoting the high-quality development of manufacturing industry in Guangdong province. From 2015 to 2018, the total added value of the equipment manufacturing industry on the west bank of the Pearl River was 1147.1 billion yuan with an average annual growth of 11.8%. Foshan plays a leading role in the equipment industry belt. From January to June this year, the added value of the equipment manufacturing industry has reached 64.19 billion yuan with a year-on-year growth of 7.9%.

　　Wu Yuguang, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province, hoped that the 5th AEME Expo could show the latest achievements of the advanced equipment manufacturing industry belt on the west bank of the Pearl River in participating in the construction of Greater Bay Area, and more enterprises and projects with initiative in innovation and development would be attracted to settle down and develop in this region, thus injecting more impetus into the construction of the advanced equipment manufacturing industry belt on the west bank of the Pearl River.
