CCTV’s “Dialogue” Focuses on Transformation and Exploration of Foshan Manufacturing

　　On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, CCTV’s “Dialogue” column launched a program series called “China Industrial Landmarks”. With its first station arriving in Foshan, it has caused widespread concern in Foshan.

　　“Dialogue” presented Foshan manufacturing advantages

　　Su Yan, secretary of the Party Committee of the CPC Foshan Municipal Bureau of Commerce, said that the first station of “China Industrial Landmark” of CCTV’s “Dialogue” arrived in Foshan, fully embodying the status of Foshan’s manufacturing, which is a high recognition of Foshan’s manufacturing.

　　Long Jiangang, chairman of the Foshan Cultural Development Foundation, said that the program focused on “Foshan manufacturing transformation and exploration” which demonstrates the strength and status of Foshan’s manufacturing industry in China, and it also represents an important direction for the future development of China’s manufacturing industry.

　　Fang Hongbo, chairman of Midea Group, said that the crisis of enterprises is that they rely too much on traditional experience, and it will not upgrade if insisting on the way they used to follow. In this regard, Deng Weijian, Chairman of Foshan Chengde New Material Co., Ltd, felt the same. He said that for constructing friendly environmental and intelligent stainless-steel enterprise, the corporation dismantled the old production line and established modern production equipment which resisted the huge external pressure at that time.

　　The motivation of industry transformation is entrepreneurship and craftsmanship

　　In the “Dialogue”, entrepreneurship and craftsmanship is one of the hot topics that guests discussed. Li Baiqian, a Foshan artisan, and Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of Foshan Rifeng Enterprise Co., Ltd, said that thanks to entrepreneurship and craftsmanship passed down from generation and generation, Foshan can become one of industry landmarks in China. He suggested that governments and departments should organize experts to investigate artisans’ craft methods in Foshan so as to refine and summarize into standard processes and allow new employees to carefully follow the process.

　　Chen said that as the representatives of appliance industry, appliance enterprises presented in the program should keep the spirit of manufacturing industry, insist on presenting innovative entrepreneurship.

　　Governments and enterprises interact and promote each other for upgrade and transformation

　　Whether governments and enterprises could interact friendly and show each other’s strength is important. Long suggested that governments should help enterprises get accurate direction in the wave of industrial transformation, and the key is forifying service ability, helping enterprises see the development situation and future pattern clearly and having good cooperation with enterprises and market.

　　Zhong Feijian, director of the Foshan Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, said that in order to meet the demand of high-qualified and highly skilled talents in manufacturing enterprises, Foshan will strengthen the construction of doctoral and post-doctoral in recruiting talents and also organize “linking future trends— The City Industry Internet Thought Seminar” series of activities, which will increase the construction of Foshan Technician College and further stimulate innovation and create vitality.

　　Deng hoped that the governments could further optimist the business environment, increase subsides for industrial electricity use, reduce enterprises costs, and support the development of the real economy.
